Skills

Every part of Wynds and Riders contains skills. But not all skills are used in battle, some skills are dormant and can pass through to their offspring (for Wynds) or apprentice (for Riders).

There are 3 types of skills:

• Active, which are used actively in battle when the condition allows the unit to execute this skill. These type of skills consume Mana

• Passive, which are automatically applied to the unit throughout the battle. These types of skills do not consume Mana and can be seen as a unique trait during battle.

• Ultimate, which is similar to Active but with substantial effects and also additional conditions for the unit to execute (such as a class stack). These types of skills also consume Mana and the stack required.

The effectiveness of a skill is determined by the stats of the unit that owns it. Higher unit stats will result in greater skill output. Attack-related skills will benefit from the unit's attack stats, while defense-related skills will benefit from the unit's defensive stats. Utility-related skills will benefit from the unit's speed and range stats.

It is generally advantageous to match skills with certain classes. Attack-related skills work well with Assaulter or Ranger classes, while defense-related skills work well with the Vanguard class. Utility-related skills are situational and can be paired with any class that might need them. However, players can also create synergies by combining skills with specific units or skills.

There are several skills that can alter a unit's behavior. For example, a player can make the Vanguard class more offensive by pairing it with attack-related skills. While the attack output may not be as high as if the skill were used by an attack-oriented class, this approach allows players to develop more diverse strategies and outsmart their enemies. In the future, players will be able to create even more variations through the breeding feature for Wynd units and the recruiting feature for Rider units.

	Molten armor	Passive	Deal continuous damage to surrounding targets.
	Iron skin	Passive	Block 1 incoming physical damage.
	Regrowth	Passive	Regenerate lost health after being hit by target skills 3 times.
	Spike armor	Passive	Reflect melee damage taken to the attacker.

	Shadow blind	Passive	Bind an enemy shadow that tries to attack and slow its attack speed.
	Vortex	Ultimate	Pull targets surrounding the unit and deal damage.
	Battle cry	Ultimate	Taunt surrounding the target and forcing them to attack for 2s.
	Full spin	Ultimate	Spin and knockback surrounding the target.
	Earth slam	Ultimate	Slam surrounding area and stun target for 1.5s.

	Great escape	Passive	Became stealth for 2s after getting stunned, knockback or disarm.

	Bright wound	Passive	Apply wounds that deal damage overtime (refresh timer if wound still active).
	Shadow stigma	Passive	Every basic attack applies 1 stigma.
	No place for the weak	Ultimate	Instant kill if the target health is under 10 % of maximum health after hit by ultimate.
	Already too late	Ultimate	Consume all poison stacks to deal bonus damage to the target.
	The executioner	Ultimate	If the target is killed by the ultimate, jump to another unit to perform another ultimate.
	Mark for death	Ultimate	Consume all bleeding stacks to deal bonus damage to the target.
	Moonlight dance	Ultimate	Teleport for 5 times and deal damage to surrounding targets (can focus to 1 target if there is no other targetable unit).
	Shadow clone	Ultimate	Consume all stigma to create clones and deal area damage to surrounding targets.

Ranger

	Weapon master	Passive	Increase attack speed of equipped weapons by 10%.
	Berserker	Passive	Give bonus 20% attack speed if health drops under 50% of max health.
	Weapon dealer	Passive	Equipped weapons have a 10% chance to deal double damage.
	Blessing of the sun	Passive	Give 10% bonus attack damage and magic damage when riding a fire elemental dragon.
